Sometimes when we receive a letter or a mail inviting us to partner with a minister or ministry, a number of thing run through our minds.  So many people have the wrong ideas of what partnership is all about, and some of the negative ideas we have are because of some abuses which the concept of partnership has suffered in recent times.

A number of people see partnership as a gimmick by some ministers to raise money for whatever projects they have on hand, while for some see it as a get rich quick scheme that somebody came up with, but one of these views truly represents what partnership is all about.  Even amongst those that practice it one degree or the other some form of support for ministries or ministers there is not enough light on the subject, I believe that God wants us to come to a greater understanding of the prupose, power and blessing in His ordained principles of partnership, so that your faith may not stand in the wisdom of man but in the power of God.

The concept of partnership is as old as the bible, right from Genersis 1:26 where God says ‘Let us make man in our image, even down to the purpose of creating Eve, (a help meet for Adam)’ the concept of partnership was in place,

Partnership is God’s way to multiply resources and abilities in order to fulfil His purposes and to accomplish His will. Two are better than one is the testimony of God and it is rooted in Divine Wisdom.

Through partnership God gives you an opportunity to share in His vision of healing and restoration to man, as well as positioning you to partake in the blessing that came through such union.  

Partnership is about shared vision, shared graces and shared rewards.  True Partnership is a powerful connection to God and a powerful way of tapping into higher graces and anointings, Jesus said your relationship and attitude to me and the one that sent me, can it get more powerful than that?

Partnership with a God given vision or purpose is more than doling out money to a ministry, church or for a project, it is identifying with a divine purpose and standing together with God through a ministry or a man of God to seeing that purpose accomplished on earth. It is your union and identification with that purpose that establishes your partnership relationship, all that you do whether in giving out money or in prayers or in any way you are enabled by God must flow out this identification.

One of the more fundamental abuses of the concept of partnership is when Christians ‘support’  ministries or ministries not because they identify with what God is seeking to do through such ministries, but because they see it is a ‘fertile’ ground for ‘sowing and reaping’.  This thinking is not godly and is not in harmony with the principle of seeking first God’s Kingdom; partnership is first about God and His will and then secondarily the blessing.

Another problem with partnership is that many times, people do not really seek God’s face to know where they should put their hearts, money and time, not every ‘good’ project is God’s project.  Some times people succumb to manipulation, type or outright intimidation in their ‘support’, of ministries, but be that as it may, God is willing to lead us if we are willing to be led, if we are open to His will and are seeking his kingdom first.  Then we can be sure He will lead us, it is in His interest to do so.    

Partnership with God brings abundant blessings, blessings that supersede financial or material reward, thank God for that, it brings favour, influence with God, Through partnership God transmits into your life, the graces, favour and the blessing deposited in the ministry that you are standing with Him through, (Phil.1:7), you become a co-sharer in the eternal rewards allocated with that ministry or service. Praise God!
